With a blanket of snow covering the state and temperatures dipping below zero, the Wisconsin winter has a lot of folks thinking: what can we do to ensure deer and other wildlife populations continue to thrive?
Improving the habitat on the land you own or hunt will benefit the wildlife we all enjoy. Wisconsin’s Deer Management Assistance Program can help us achieve that shared goal. DMAP provides assistance to landowners of any property size and with any level of experience to improve habitat for wildlife. DMAP cooperators benefit from sharing information and networking with other conservation-minded landowners and resource professionals. You can learn more about the program in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-Un-N7cBZY&t=3s “A deer’s best friends are a habitat management plan and an active chain saw. The DMAP program provides the former;I do all the rest…and the results speak for themselves!”– Brad, Sawyer Co.
