FISHING REPORT FROM CAPTAIN BRUCE GROSSHEIM OF THE CUB RADIO SPORT FISHING
Fishing report 7/9/2019 Lake Michigan Manitowoc/Two Rivers. 12 yr old Andy Zigmund with help from his uncle Wade landed a 35 lb Chinnok King Salmon on June 29th off Two Rivers in 100 fow. Some big fish are being caught up and down Wisconsins East Coast. A 32 pound Chinook was caught off Port Washington. Early last month A 29 pound Chinnok was caught off Sheboygan. Plus three 25 pounders. Rainbows 15 to 22 lbs were caught this Spring. A 22 Brown trout was caught at the Manitowoc Salmon Derby Along with a 30 plus pound Chinook. Trollers off both ports are out to 300 plus F. O. W. For Rainbows in the top 50 ft on Orange. Green. Or. Watermelon coloered spoons. King were caught in 100 to 200 plus F. O. W. 60 ft down to bottom off Downriggers and Wire Dipsies with 70 to 100 ft of line out. Weighted mono surface lines. Copper surface lines 200 to 400 ft out. Or lead core 2 to 4 colors. Flashers in green/white/chrome/blue and spotted combinations. Spoons in Blue or Green Dolpin. Blue silver. Watermelon. White with black spots. Lake Trout Fishing has been hot from Rawleys Point North from 90 F. O. W. To the north moving out deeper as you go. Flies ,spin n glos, with flashers– cowbells. On or near the bottom. Speed 1 to 1.8 mph. Water temps pushing 69 in 300 F. O. W. There is a NO WAKE ZONE to the end of the Two. Rivers Pier. Because of high water issues waves of 3 ft or more could wash over the piers.
