Education Is A Top Priority for Whitetails Unlimited

Whitetails Unlimited issued 165 grants totaling more than $315,000 fostering their DEER (Developing Educational and Environmental Resources) Program this past year. The DEER Program consists of organizational initiatives and activities that facilitate the introduction of youth and their families to the great outdoors. This includes events, activities, and educational elements that expose participants to conservation, fishing, hunting, shooting, wildlife management, and environmental education.

Education is a top priority for Whitetails Unlimited. As a strong advocate and supporter of hunter safety and hands-on instruction, they are at the forefront of providing state hunter education instructor associations with the necessary teaching aids to train our nation’s youth.

“Our DEER Program focuses on outdoor education and hunter safety which are two things that should be the focus of any hunt,” says Whitetails Unlimited Program Services Director Russ Austad.
