Democrats Are Panicking Over Supreme Court Gun Rulings – And It’s Hilarious

Imagine watching a bad movie where the characters keep overreacting to every little thing. That’s exactly what’s happening with the Democrats right now. They’re freaking out over the Supreme Court’s recent decision to scrap the bump stock ban, acting like it’s the end of the world. It’s as if they think the Court is plotting to arm everyone with machine guns. I mean, seriously? Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) might as well be a character in a soap opera, given how dramatically he talks about the Second Amendment.

Murphy was on CNN recently, sounding all dramatic about how the Supreme Court is “readying to fundamentally rewrite” the Second Amendment.

According to him, it’s all part of some evil plan to make it impossible for Congress to pass any gun laws. But here’s the kicker: all the Supreme Court did was rule that the ATF couldn’t just make up rules and call bump stocks machine guns. Justice Clarence Thomas wrote the opinion, basically saying the ATF was stretching the law way too much. It’s like when your teacher catches you trying to explain why your dog ate your homework, and they’re not buying it.

Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) is trying to make it look like he’s the hero in this drama. He’s planning a vote to ban bump stocks through Congress. He’s framing it like a showdown, asking if Republicans will “cower to ULTRA MAGA” or support his new gun parts ban. Schumer’s basically saying, “If we don’t act now, people will start arming themselves with bump-stocked superguns.” The sense of urgency here is almost comical.

The bump stock ban was a Trump administration move to prevent Congress from passing new anti-gun laws, replacing it with bureaucratic rulemaking that could be and now has been easily overturned. Was this just another 3D Chess move by Trump? Back then, the uni party thought it was a good idea after the Las Vegas shooting to ban something and was about to give in to the shrill cries of the “do something now” crowd. Fast forward, and now Democrats are calling out the Supreme Court for being too extreme, even more so than Trump! They’re acting like the Court is paving the way for people to run around with rocket launchers, which is legal, by the way.

But what the Court actually said is that if Congress wants to ban something, they should just pass a law. How revolutionary!

Schumer’s whole plan to hold a vote on bump stocks is classic political theater. He’s trying to come off like he’s saving us from chaos.

But really, the Court was just reminding him and his buddies in Congress to do their jobs and make laws if they want something banned. President Biden, jumping on the bandwagon, said he’d sign a bump stock ban “immediately” if Congress passes it. He’s making it sound like we’re all living in fear of bump-stock mass shootings.

This whole panic is a huge overreaction. Democrats are acting like the Second Amendment is going to turn us into a nation of gun-toting patriots; oh wait, it may be too late. It’s like they’ve forgotten that the legislative process is there to address these things calmly and rationally. The Supreme Court’s ruling isn’t some signal that we’re headed for a future where everyone has a machine gun. We will get to that when we repeal the NFA. For now, it’s just a reminder for Congress to actually legislate instead of relying on agencies to make up rules.

So, while Murphy and Schumer keep spinning their dramatic tales, we can sit back and laugh. The real drama isn’t in the Court’s rulings or the gun debates but in how the Democrats are flipping out over them. They’re making a mountain out of a molehill, and it’s kind of entertaining to watch.

Mark Twain once said, “Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.” The same goes for gun-control in America. Despite what Democrats are saying, our legislative process is still very much alive, and they will ban your Second Amendment rights every chance they get.

If you hear a lot of noise from the Capitol, don’t worry. It’s just the sound of politicians making a fuss over a Supreme Court decision that’s really just common sense. Grab some popcorn and enjoy the show because political theater doesn’t get much better than this!
