Deer Hunt Wisconsin 2019 to air this week

Deer Hunt Wisconsin 2019, the 29th annual edition of this popular and award-winning TV special, will air statewide in Wisconsin and in several other states beginning Thursday, Nov. 14.

This year’s program focuses on the tradition of deer hunting and how that has changed over the years, on the joys of mentoring new hunters and on how Wisconsin is attempting to curb the spread of chronic wasting disease (CWD).

Host/producer Dan Small will summarize new rules, season dates and hunting opportunities on public land and provide a region-by-region forecast for this year’s firearms deer season compiled by Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources biologists.

The program will also feature a successful bowhunt aided by the use of an electric bike and the story of a young couple who became engaged during a shed-hunting outing. As always, the program will deliver a strong safety message for all hunters.
