Happy Winter Solstice!

It might not seem like it, but the longest night of the year in Wisconsin is a good time to think about our lakes. Remember that starting tomorrow, the days will still begin getting just a little longer each day. They will start building up to those wonderful long evenings that seem made for leisurely boat rides, sunsets on a dock, or a few extra casts post-dinner.

As we continue to manage our current challenging environment, we hope you will consider becoming a member of Wisconsin Lakes. If you are already a member, we hope you will consider making a year-end gift. The financial support of our members and supporters allow us to continue to speak for Wisconsin’s lakes.

The mission of Wisconsin Lakes is to conserve, enhance, and restore Wisconsin’s lakes to ensure their sustainability for the benefit and collective use and enjoyment for this and future generations.

None of that changes, but how we’re going to get there needs to be reworked and re-envisioned to meet the opportunities of the future.
