Had a nice Sunday morning by going down to check on the Carp Fest fishermen in Two Rivers. Lots of fish being caught and some good size fish. Ran into a father & son team fishing from Georgia. Here are a few of the photos I took of them and at the time they had caught two fish. I notice the size of the bait they use and believe me it’s not small at all. They use 12 foot rods and whip the bait upstream, so it floats down to where they want it. Had a wonderful talk with them, and we had a common interest in the outdoors. They love to pig hunt in their state, and we talked about the 2nd Amendment and conceal carry laws between our states. Wisconsin being an open carry state, he was surprised to not see people wearing their firearms in the open, unlike what they do in their state. You know people, it’s really nice to talk to other folks from around the country and see how their laws affect them, especially when traveling to another state for programs like fishing or hunting. I wish all the fishermen who came to Two Rivers for the Carp Fest to have a super safe trip back home again and I hope we see you next year. I saw car plates from Illinois, Missouri and Arizona and who knows which other states I missed.
CONGRATULATION ON A NICE CATCH. HOPE TO SEE YOU NEXT YEAR AND GOOD FISHING & HUNTING THE REST OF THE YEAR.
