As most of you know, the Wisconsin Natural Resources Board recently passed an emergency rule restricting the movement of deer carcasses from CWD infected counties. Governor Walker proposed this rule back in May and BHA has supported the its implementation. The Wisconsin Chapter is committed to fighting the spread of CWD. Unfortunately, Senator Steve Nass, co-chair of the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules, is trying to suspend this important rule. A public hearing has been set for October 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in which the Joint Committee will consider suspending the rule. We are urging all Wisconsin BHA members to call Senator Nass’ office at 608-266-2635 and tell him that you support the emergency rule restricting the movement of deer carcasses from CWD infected counties. We need all of you in this fight against CWD. Please make the call!
