June 1st is right around the corner, and we can’t wait to see you at the 2nd Annual WI BHA Rendezvous! We’ll be kicking the day off at 9:00am with a Hike To Hunt starting at the Mead Wildlife Area Visitor Center. Our main speaker line-up includes the following:
- 10:00-11:00 AM “Wisconsin Elk Reintroduction” Kevin Wallenfang of the WI DNR will be speaking on the elk reintroduction efforts ongoing in Wisconsin.
- 11:15 AM-12:15 PM “DIY Caribou Float Hunt” Gary VandenLangenberg of Wisconsin Traditional Archers will guide you through his DIY Caribou Float Hunt and show you another way to get out on your public lands and waters.
- 1:00-2:00 PM “Women in the Wilderness Panel Discussion” As the fastest growing segment of people joining the hunting and fishing ranks, women are a force to be reckoned with. From big game hunting to trapping and dog training, our panel of female hunters and anglers have a lot of knowledge to share. Join Emily Iehl, Skye Goode, Jenn Becker, and Peggy Farrell as they share their passions and insights.
- 2:15-3:15 PM “The Hunting Public” The Hunting Public is an online video series showcasing tips and strategies for hunters. The Hunting Public’s core mission is to create a community of hunters that can interact and learn together as a group. Through their hunts on public land and small privately owned properties they create content that is relatable and appeals to all hunters.
- 4:30-5:15 PM “WI BHA and Finding Your Why” WI BHA Chair, TJ Hauge, will let you know what the state chapter is doing, and more importantly, how you can help.
You can get your tickets for the Rendezvous, event information, and RVSP for camping here. Tickets include dinner and 2 drinks. We’ll see you there!
