From the Umarex USA Blog…
One of the things we do really, really well here at Umarex is crafting replicas of many manufacturers’ popular models. This is done with licensing agreements that allow us to make BB and airsoft replicas of some of the most popular firearms in the world. It’s good for everyone involved, especially the consumer, as you can get your paws on a replica of your favorite model for a fraction of the cost.

As such, we’ve pilfered the interwebs and the cobwebs of our memories to think back on where our coolest replicas are found on the silver screen. So without further ado, here are the first eight films in our three-part series of movies featuring firearms of which we make awesome replicas.

The Hatsan brand is well known amongst airgun enthusiasts who value maximum power output, so it may be somewhat of a surprise that the company offers a low-powered, easy-to-use youth model. The new Hatsan Alpha youth rifle is a traditional break-barrel air rifle that incorporates the same design elements and features as its full-sized counterparts.

Axeon Optics is proud to announce, in conjunction with the Dog Soldier himself, Steve Criner, the arrival of the Dog Soldier Predator Scope. Steve Criner, professional predator hunter and host of both Dog Soldier TV show on Pursuit Channel and the web-based Real Air Gun Hunting show, worked closely with Axeon in developing a tough scope that would be ideal for predator hunting in unforgiving conditions. The Dog Soldier Scope notably features 4-16X magnification, large 50mm objective lens, 30mm tube, an illuminated mil-dot reticle, and covered, toolless 1/4MOA adjust turrets.

Competition

In February, junior ROTC cadets gathered together in the north, south and west to compete in the scholastic JROTC Three-Position Air Rifle Service Championships. Competitors at each location are awarded based on individual scores as well as overall team accomplishments according to military service branch (Army, Navy, Air Force or Marin Corps). Athletes compete in sporter or precision air rifle disciplines.
Notable performances were given by sporter team members of Zion Benton High School in Illinois (Navy) as well as sporter members from Nation Ford High School in South Carolina (Marine Corps) – each securing the Top 3 places at their event locations. Because of their talented athletes, the teams ultimately went on to earn first place in their respectable team competitions as well.

Editors Note: A six-day CMP National Matches Junior Camp, Smallbore & Air Rifle, will also take place and is open to junior athletes who shoot both three-position smallbore and standing or international precision air rifle.
Registration for the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s (CMP) 2020 National Trophy Pistol and Rifle Matches is set to officially open March 1, 2020. The annual event, held at the Camp Perry National Guard Training Base since 1907, features traditional marksmanship events and an established lineup of CMP’s own competitions that will carry the precedent of the National Matches through the next decade.

Whether competing for the first time, an experienced athlete or arriving purely to become engaged in the atmosphere, the National Matches has something for everyone. The array of rifle and pistol competitions will stretch from July 6, 2020 to Aug. 8, 2020. Adult and junior competitors, both the well-seasoned and novice individuals, are all invited to participate during this year’s National events.

The deadline for the final entries to the Test Event “Ready Steady Tokyo” is approaching. In the light of the existing situation with COVID-19, it is for you to determine the potential risks for your athletes’ health in traveling and coming in contact with citizens of different countries. As a result of the existence of already introduced restrictions, operational measures undertaken by governments and dynamics of the virus, the ISSF recommends you deliberate in making travel arrangements.
