(WHEIA) is pleased to announce:

  • 2020 scholarship opportunities are open now!
    (The deadline for applications is: 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2020)
  • April 18, 2020 – Conference & Re-Certification Training

“TIPS AND TRICKS FOR

DEALING WITH CHALLENGES IN THE CLASSROOM”

There will be no cost for instructors, junior instructors and apprentice instructors to attend this Conference/DNR approved Training.

Travel and/or lodging if you wish to stay overnight is your responsibility.

Scholarship Program

The Association is pleased to announce the continuation of a scholarship program to provide financial assistance to Wisconsin high school graduates and high school students graduating in 2020 who will be pursuing a degree in the areas of Fisheries & Wildlife conservation.  The scholarship is also available to college students already enrolled in a Fisheries & Wildlife field of study.

Applicants must be able to provide information on their scholastic achievements, leadership abilities, and dedication to wildlife conservation. Three scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $500 each. You may obtain the scholarship application by clicking on “Application” under Scholarship for instructions or the “Scholarship Application” button below.

The deadline for applications is: 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

Looking to improve your classroom knowledge and teaching techniques?  The Wisconsin Hunter Education Instructor Association (WHEIA) in partnership with the WDNR will hold its annual conference on April 18th in Rothschild this year.

“Tips and Tricks” will provide you with invaluable information that you can use right away in dealing with challenges in the classroom.  Effective lesson plan use will also be demonstrated using the EDOC method of instruction.

Please consider attending as it will be well worth your time.
