On Sunday Sept. 29th, 2019 the property around the Collins Marsh are will be buzzing with Humans, not wildlife as the New Nature center will be dedicated and the Fire Tower will be dedicated in the Honor of James Koeppel and RD Peters. Jim was responsible for the taking the tower down in the Upper U.P. and using three trucks to haul it down to Collins Marsh. RD Peters helped with the placing the tower back up at the location on Collins Marsh. The fire tower will now be allowing individuals to climb it when someone is around to open it up to all. If you need to look it up, look for Neustadter Nature Center, 20021 County Road JJ, Collins, WI 54207 at Collins Marsh. If you plan on driving out there to see the wildlife or climb the tower, use State Highway 10, between Appleton and Manitowoc. Just outside of Reedsville, WI, is County Road W, go South on W to County Road JJ, turn Left onto JJ and you can not miss the FireTower. Using State Highway 151 between Valders, WI and Chilton, WI you take County Road W North to County Road JJ and turn Right. Come on out and see the nature in the marsh first hand.
