Take time to review the fishing regulations as part of event planning. Make note of season dates and exceptions. These vary by species and waterbody.
If you are looking for a little guidance or new to reading through the regulations, a clinic can be a helpful way to learn. Your local bait and tackle shops also are good sources of guidance on where to fish at that time of year.
Search the DNR events calendar for fishing clinic locations and find an event near you. If you need gear, Wisconsin also has nearly 60 tackle loaner sites around the state.
