Gun owners in Wisconsin need to pay attention to what’s happening in Madison — and act.
The 2026 year of the legislative session is already shaping up to be one of the most dangerous we’ve seen for the Second Amendment, and now the gun grabbers have made their move.
Senate Bill 329 — a “Red Flag Gun Confiscation” bill — is live in Madison.
This is not a drill.
Radical Leftists, Governor Evers, the anti-gun media, and more than a few weak-kneed RINOs are lining up behind this bill, hoping to ram it through while gun owners are distracted and the pressure is low.
And there’s a reason both parties suddenly want this law.
Under Biden’s ‘Safer Communities Act’ law passed in 2022, 750 MILLION dollars in federal money was appropriated for states that pass Red Flag Laws.
And this funding is good for FIVE years, meaning even with Trump in the Whitehouse, this money is being offered through 2027.
That means politicians get to vote for gun confiscation, then run home bragging about “bringing money back to the district.”
Gun owners pay the price. Politicians cash the check.
That’s why Wisconsin Firearms Coalition is sounding the alarm now before this bill quietly picks up momentum.

WHAT S.B. 329 WOULD DO:
If passed, Red Flag Gun Seizure Orders would allow the government to strip you of your firearms based on accusations alone.
No conviction.
No criminal charge.
No due process.
Consider what this means:
- These gun seizure orders will be issued before you have been convicted, or even charged, with anything!
A gun owner with absolutely no criminal background of any kind can have his firearms seized before he ever sets foot in a courtroom. You would have more due process rights in traffic court than you would in defending your constitutional right to keep and bear arms.
- The hearing that determines whether or not to strip you of your firearms happen in secret!
Known as ex-parte proceedings, these hearings take place in your absence. You will have no ability to question your accuser, provide your own evidence, or testify in your own defense.
In fact, the first time you will be made aware of this is when law enforcement officers come to your home to seize your firearms.
- The mere fact that you recently purchased a firearm or any ammunition constitutes evidence that can be used against you!
In many Red Flags bills, under the list of ‘evidence’ that the court can consider in deciding to disarm you is the ‘recent acquisition of a firearm, ammunition, or other weapons.’
So just buying a firearm or a box of .22’s could be enough for a judge to order you stripped of your firearms.
You would have fewer rights defending your Second Amendment than you would fighting a traffic ticket.
This is not about public safety. This is about control — and we all know it.
And as gun owners know all too well, once these laws are on the books, they are almost impossible to repeal.
