ADVOCACY

WWA / Hunting Advocates Meet with State Lawmakers to Bring Ethical and Sustainable

Sandhill Crane Hunt to Wisconsin

WWA continues to be busy leading the charge to bring an ethical and sustainable sandhill crane hunt to Wisconsin.

The coalition of like-minded organizations is growing, and together we’re busy educating lawmakers on the relevant issues that include a rapidly growing population and the crop (and other damage) they are causing.

LIFESYTLE AND HUNTING

Decoy Corner

Howard Daniel Homer is one of those “unappreciated” carvers from Wisconsin! Howard began carving decoys in 1945 while living and operating the Lodge. First, decoys were used by him in the area lakes, but soon he began supplying his northern visitors with high-quality hunting decoys.

Words From The Wardens

Waterfowl enforcement is where the skills of Warden Kyle Ziembo shine. “Kyle is an exceptional and well-rounded warden who balances enforcement with education. His passion for waterfowl hunting and his willingness to teach others the sport has greatly benefited the Wisconsin DNR as a whole.”
