The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has several hunting seasons in 2024, including:
- Archery and crossbow: September 16, 2024–January 7, 2024, with extended seasons in 31 counties until January 31, 2024
- Youth deer hunt: October 7–8, 2024
- Gun deer hunt for hunters with disabilities: October 7–15, 2024
- Gun deer hunt: November 18–26, 2024
- Muzzleloader deer hunt: November 27–December 6, 2024
- December four-day antlerless-only hunt: December 7–10, 2024
- Waterfowl hunting: Early teal September 1–9, 2024; early goose September 1–15, 2024
- Youth waterfowl hunt: September 14–15, 2024
The DNR also has bear hunting seasons, which are scheduled by zone and allow for different amounts of bait and dogs. The application deadline for bear hunting permits is December 10 the year before the season.
