  • Branch River – There was only one angler found fishing the branch this week and I was unable to get an interview from them. So, there is no report yet for the Branch River.
  • Two Rivers Ramp – No anglers were found using the ramp over the week as windy and stormy conditions did not allow for anglers to get out.
  • Two Rivers Pier – The number of anglers fishing on the pier has remained steady with a handful of anglers fishing on the pier each day. Some anglers were able to catch a few chinook salmon while casting spoons. Orange and chrome spoons produced fish.
  • Two Rivers Harbor – The number of anglers fishing in the harbor has decreased to a couple of anglers a day. The anglers that are fishing in the harbor have not had any luck over the last week when it comes to fishing for chinook salmon.
  • East Twin River – Anglers fishing at the Mishicot dam are still catching Chinook salmon using spawn sacs. The highest catch rates are occurring by the dam and then further downstream. Fishing pressure is the highest on the weekends with upwards of 100 people fishing from the dam to the stretches downstream of the fire station. Brown trout at being caught occasionally.
  • West Twin River – With the recent rains that occurred in the early part of the week it caused the water levels to increase. With the increase in water flow and water levels it brought some fresh fish up to the dam in Shoto. Fish were caught at both of the dams using spawn sacs. Some anglers are having success using orange foam earplugs, as they tend to stay on the hook longer.

Kewaunee Co.

  • Kewaunee Ramp – Many folks were bringing their boats in for the season. The fish cleaning station was closed for most of the week and the weekend. Not many trailers were spotted.
  • Kewaunee Shore – There was light fishing pressure along the shoreline as folks were out at dawn and dusk. The catch rate was better near Harbor Express and the Tug Ludington as anglers caught the occasional king salmon. Chinook salmon could be spotted going up into the Kewaunee River and boiling in the harbor but not many fish were landed.
  • Kewaunee Piers – Very few anglers were spotted. No interviews were taken.
  • Kewaunee River – Fishing pressure was high this weekend as folks crowded around footbridge and Bruemmer Park. Many dark brown and black chinook were being caught close to Devil’s bend on flies and spawn sacs. The water was muddy from this week’s rain which made catching fish more difficult for some anglers. Early morning anglers appeared to have the best luck.
  • Algoma Ramp – No trailers were spotted. No interviews were taken.
  • Algoma Shore – Wind and rain made fishing conditions tough during the week and parts of the weekend. No anglers were spotted. No interviews were taken.
  • Algoma Pier – Fishing conditions were precarious early this weekend with strong winds washing water over the north pier. No anglers were spotted. No interviews were taken.
  • Ahnapee River – Folks were up and down the Ahnapee River all week and weekend though the catch rate still did not reach the same numbers as Kewaunee. Fly anglers near the Forestville dam seemed to land the most king’s this week. Anglers near Olson Park were trying their luck though did not have much success. Folks around X bridge did alright with chinook salmon, especially pre-rainfall. A chocolate milk colored water made fishing difficult immediately after the week’s storm. The muddy water cleared up a bit by late week as the salmon were stacked up and readily biting. Good luck was had using earplugs or spawn sacs.
  • Stony Creek – Fishing pressure and catch rate were high this week. Both fly and spin anglers were readily hooking chinook near the mouth of the crick. There were some reports of pink salmon coming in as well. Many folks were getting their salmon on spawn sacs.
