-At the last Manitowoc Fish & Game City Unit meeting, there were many positive comments about our youth program. They are donating another $450 to our banquet. This is on top of the $500 that they donated to our youth program earlier in the year.
-They will be spraying for phragmites next week. Signs will be posted. Please stay out of the sprayed area for 3-5 days.
-Thank You to Dan Cichantek for all your help with the woods and all your help and research on the invasive species.
-Thank You to Mark Wolff for allowing us to use the basement at Wolff insurance for our banquet meetings, and storage for prizes.
-From Gregg Wolf, “I would like to thank the following people for making the steak fry possible; Tom and Jim Schulz for tending bar, Peggy Schulz for minding the kitchen, Mark Wolff for bringing the potatoes (Just in time!) Wally Norkosky for doing the corn (and bringing your own steak) Jim Schleis for all the prep work and clean up, and all the people who attended.”
-Water heater and filter parts should be in later this week.
-The center skeet fence will be held off on until after winter when the ground dries out.
-There was talk of some suggestions for maybe some sort of winter trap league. Ideas are welcome.
-Membership agreed on donating $100 gas card to the Manitowoc County Fish & Game banquet as we have in the past.
-Manitowoc Fish & Game City Unit will be having their meetings at the gun club November 1st and December 6th. $5 covers food and drinks. Alyssa the Game Warden will attend the November 1st meeting.
-We will start having an annual meeting which will take place at the December Club Meeting. This will give us the ability to recap the year, plan the year ahead, and discuss plans.
Remember you can rent the clubhouse for private parties. The cost is $100, but if you clean up the clubhouse afterwards, then $50 will be refunded. See the bar director Jim Schleis to make reservations.
The next meeting will be at 7:00pm on Tuesday, November 5th at the clubhouse.
