Get set with fall hunting forecasts
Waterfowl hunting fans and other hunters and trappers can get ready for the outdoors with this year’s fall forecasts. The reports contain important information including season dates, survey results with population estimates, and lists of “Top Things to Know” about each species. New magazine captures fall beauty
The latest print issue of Wisconsin Natural Resources magazine welcomes fall and all its colorful glory with the help of striking photos from the St. Croix and Namekagon rivers. From a new book by photographer Craig Blacklock, the images and accompanying story mark the 50th anniversary of the federal Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, signed on Oct. 2, 1968. Also in the magazine, learn more about the DNR’s own 50th anniversary with memories from past employees and a history of the state’s Spill Law. Fall colors are fast covering much of Wisconsin. Check dnr.wi.gov, keywords “fall colors,” for information on viewing opportunities at state properties and the science behind leaf color changes.
