3- to 4-pound venison roast, seasoned well with salt and pepper
2 onions, sliced
3 cloves garlic, sliced
1/4 cup sweet paprika
1 tablespoon ground cumin
One 14-ounce can fire-roasted tomatoes
1/3 cup (packed) light brown sugar
2 cups brewed coffee
2 cups chicken broth
2 tablespoons corn starch stirred into 1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons butter
