YOUTH PROGRAMS AVAILABLE IN MANITOWOC COUNTY, BOB SCHUH’S REPORT

• Maribel Sportsmen’s Club will be holding its fall hunter safety course on Thursdays, Aug. 15 and 22, both from 6 to 9 p.m. and finish up on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $10 per student and is open to adults as well. Pre-registration is required by calling Bob Schuh at 920-682-3106.

• Viking Bow and Gun Club will be hold its fall hunter safety course starting with orientation at 6 p.m. Aug. 5. The rest of the classes will be Aug. 12, 14, 15, 19, 21, 22, and testing  will be Saturday, Aug. 24. All times are 6 until 9 p.m. except Saturday, Aug. 24, which is from 8 a.m. until noon. Everyone must have a DNR customer ID number and must pre-register with Jeff Lyon at 920-797-9307 before July 27.

• Northeast Wisconsin Youth Shooting Program, Inc., will hold its next shoot at the Manitowoc Gun Club, 3112 Clover Road, Manitowoc, on July 16. Youngsters age 18 and younger will get a free box of shells and a free round of either trap or skeet. Shooting starts at 5 p.m. and goes until all youngsters have had a chance to shoot their round.
