Guess how many mule deer use the U.S. 191 wildlife crossing each day?
We all know man-made wildlife crossings are a sound idea, but we’ve often wondered how many animals actually utilize them?
The U.S. 191 Wildlife Crossing, located in Utah and funded by the state’s Department of Transportation, is one underpass that receives some heavy foot traffic from the furry kind.
In a trail camera study conducted by Patty Cramer and Robert Hamlin, it was discovered that the U.S. 191 receives on average thirty mule deer movements each day.

The U.S. 191 is one wildlife crossing that’s saving the lives of animals and humans, by reducing the likelihood of vehicle collisions on the road.
