This Week on Outdoors Radio

Proposed oil pipeline relocation may endanger natural resources in northern Wisconsin

This week, Outdoors Radio features Wisconsin’s Green Fire assistant director Nancy Larson, charter captain “Dumper” Dan Welsch and pro angler Duffy Kopf. Jeff reports on last weekend’s MWC tournament on Lake Sakakawea in North Dakota. Dan catches more raccoons and says they make great eating.

Nancy Larson, assistant director of Wisconsin’s Green Fire, reports on a WGF request for more detail in a Waterway and Wetland Permit application submitted by Enbridge Energy for the relocation of an oil pipeline that crosses the Bad River Indian Reservation. (

Charter captain Dumper Dan Welsch reports great mixed bag action on Lake Michigan off Sheboygan, with catches consisting mainly of Chinooks, cohos, rainbows and lake trout. (

In the Madison Outdoors Report, pro angler Duffy Kopf reports thick weed growth, floating debris and high water temps make fishing on Lake Mendota a challenge, but suspended bluegill action is good on Lake Monona. (
