Press Release for Neustadter Nature Center Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The new Neustadter Nature Center at the Collins Marsh will have an Open House on September 29th from 12-1:30. Important times and info are below:

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 12:15. Gary Drohman, who dedicated many hours in ensuring the success of getting the nature center built, will be running the ceremony.  Please enjoy a piece of cake while you appreciate the beautiful view of the marsh through the windows of the nature center.

At 1:00 the dedication ceremony for the tower will be held. Jim Koeppel and R.D. Peters will be recognized for their work in securing and re-building the tower at the Collins Marsh. A plaque will be placed near the tower to honor the two men who were instrumental in getting it to the nature center.

The annual business meeting, for members only, will start at 1:30. Have you ever wondered what a wildlife biologist does? During the business meeting our guest speaker, Steve Easterly, a wildlife biologist from the DNR will present a talk to all members on his day to day responsibilities.
