“Congrats” to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi!

This Saturday she will receive the “Gun Sense Lawmaker of the Year” award from the Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund, the financial arm of the Bloomberg-funded Everytown for Gun Safety.

“Under Speaker Pelosi’s leadership, the U.S. House passed the first meaningful gun safety legislation to succeed in either chamber of Congress in decades, and they did it in the first fifty days of the 116th Congress,” said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety.

“There was no question that Speaker Pelosi had to be Everytown’s first-ever Gun Sense Lawmaker of the Year, just as there is no question that she will never stop pushing for the life-saving laws our nation so desperately deserves,” he added.

The event will be broadcast live on Facebook and Twitter for those wishing to virtually attend the ceremony.

Pelosi’s done nothing but act as a shill for the Bloomberg gun-grabbing agenda.

The bill that the House passed in February of 2019, known as “The Bipartisan Background Check Act of 2019,” is dying on the vine because the GOP-led Senate refuses to vote on it.

Why?

Because despite its name, it isn’t a truly “bipartisan” bill.  Most Republicans quite rightly recognize what it is.  A bill that criminalizes private transfers and sales between law-abiding citizens, a bill that does nothing to target violent offenders, and a bill that paves the way for universal gun registration.

Rewarding Pelosi for this “achievement” is like rewarding a zoo monkey for eating a ripe banana.  It took no courage, no fortitude, no moral gumption to do something that your handlers expect you to do.
