Duck Commander Announces Cut Down Calls For 2020

West Monroe, La. — Since 1972, Duck Commander has been a leader in manufacturing the best duck calls for hardcore hunters, and 2020 won’t be any different. Duck Commander has expanded their line of calls to include the all new CDTimber and has brought back the popular Cut Down Reacher.

The CDTimber is perfect for imitating a mallard hen. The call has great range, and with the proper hand placement, the CDTimber can be controlled to produce loud hails and adjusted for softer cadences.

Key Features:

  • Wide range and volume
  • Double reed, friction fit
  • Wrapped in Realtree® Timber
  • Retail: $39.99

As the old saying goes, ‘you asked and we delivered.’ Duck Commander’s Cut Down Reacher (also known as the DC800) is back for a limited time only. The call has been built from the same mold and materials as the models that were built in the 1980s. Each call is still hand-tuned and tested by one of the Duckmen.

Key Features:

  • Cut down mallard hen call
  • Color: light tan/khaki
  • Material: ABS plastic
  • Double reed
  • Limited quantity of 1000
  • Retail: $39.99

“We take pride in making all of our calls sound exactly what a duck sounds like,” said Justin Martin, general manager for Duck Commander. “It’s kind of hard to kill em’ when you can’t call em’ in because your pitch and cadence don’t really sound like a duck. Our CDTimber and Cut Down Reacher will be the perfect calls this season whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned duck hunter.”

Both calls require more air pressure, which make them perfect for hunters who like to blow their calls louder and harder.

The calls are identified as “cut down” calls because the tone board can be cut down at a 45 degree angle, which makes the call a little stiffer, louder and duckier with a slight rasp and whine on the end.
