I am sorry to bother you on a Saturday but time is of the essence if we want to save our wolf hunt this fall. This ruling shelves Wisconsin’s statutorily required wolf hunt and has no basis in the law let alone logic…it is purely an activist judge (appointed by Gov. Evers) asserting his will on hunter rights and Hunter Nation is encouraging all hunters, farmers, ranchers, pet owners and concerned citizens to immediately call Governor Tony Evers and Attorney General Josh Kaul to demand that they seek an appeal to this bizarre ruling and allow the hunt to proceed in November. Tell them you support the wolf hunt in Wisconsin and demand they appeal the latest ruling by the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
State law clearly calls for a wolf hunt, and Hunter Nation will not sit by while the opponents of common sense predator management try to violate the constitutional rights of hunters in this state by denying that. We are reviewing our options for how to best continue the fight while Wisconsin’s hunters wait for the DNR to do the right thing.
