4-H Summer Camp

A Great Location…

Camp TaPaWingo is located on 78 acres along the East Twin River in Northern Manitowoc County. The camp features a variety of habitats to include wetland, woodland, and prairie, as well as rustic cabins, nature center, arts and crafts center, and main lodge with dining hall. Camp TaPaWingo is an ideal place for fun and summer hands-on learning.

Our Mission…

Camp TaPaWingo provides a fun, caring, and safe   environment for campers to try new activities and practice new skills. We are committed to the growth and development of each individual camper. By providing safe, yet challenging experiences, campers will develop an appreciation for the importance of team work and share in all group members’ successes. 4-H membership is not required to attend camp.

About Our Staff…

Staff members at Camp TaPaWingo are fun! They   understand that camp is about making friends and having fun, and they share that energy with everyone that comes to camp. Our staff members also understand the importance of safety in providing a fun and challenging program. Staff members receive   training in First Aid, CPR, AED, and camp safety practices. They must also complete the UW-Extension 4-H Youth Protection Orientation program.

What Camp TaPaWingo Offers….

Camp TaPaWingo offers a traditional overnight resident camp program that offers adventures for youth 7—14 years old, with emphasis on having a well-rounded and fun camp experience. Each day is filled with individual and group experiences. Cabin Counselors help your child make Camp TaPaWingo their home during their stay with theme decorations and fun cabin time activities.

Camp Activities  Archery,Water Activities, Arts & Crafts, Skits, Cabin Time, Nature, Hiking, Singing, Challenge Course, Storytelling, Games, Orienteering, River Walk, Night Hikes, Campfires and Swimming!
