Attention all people who love our Outdoors, there’s a bill that needs your help.

In a show of bipartisan solidarity, U.S. senators from both sides of the aisle are set to introduce legislation addressing maintenance backlogs on public lands managed by the National Park Service and ensuring full, dedicated funding for the Land and Water Conservation Fund, the nation’s most popular and successful access and conservation program.

Introduced by Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV), Cory Gardner (R-CO), Mark Warner (D-VA), Steve Daines (R-MT) and others, the bill would appropriate the full $900 million annually to LWCF in addition to providing $1.3 billion to address the accumulating NPS maintenance backlog on repairs to roads, trails and buildings.

Time is of the essence. Take a minute right now to ask your senator to co-sponsor this important legislation, once introduced. We have an opportunity to secure full and dedicated funding for LWCF and to expand funding allocations to other public land management agencies, including the Bureau of Land Management, Forest Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
